Parenting is a full time job. Your career is a full time job. Doing both + everything else can be…rough.
I’m here to help.
I’m Sharlene Johnson
That’s me and my littlest nugget — doing one of my favorite things in the world…cuddling…at peace.
I’d like to help you find your PEACE.
Even if you don’t find your peace in cuddling — because let’s be honest, ladies…overstimulation IS real!
Every program, every tier, every resource inside The Mom Manager exists because at some point in my life, I had to to put together structure, find resources, or just keep my optimism up to get through it — and I’ll share the same things with you.
Read on if you need a little bit more about who you’ll be working with.
And if any part of my story sounds like yours, you’re in the right place.
The life…
I spent eight years as a single mother and earned my first Master's degree while working full time — with my son by my side. I learned what it meant to hold everything together and keep going… because there are no days off when you’re a mom.
I dated while doing the rest of mom life — the logistics, the emotions, co-parenting (or not so much), availability issues, no last minute options, stigmas against single moms (not like we asked for it, amiright?), is he a role model for my kiddo, yadda yadda — the list goes on.
I got married — got divorced…painfully, while still showing up…for my son and for work.
Then I started completely over and rebuilt my whole life.
I eventually got back on the dating horse and tried love again. I found my soul mate (not sure if I believed in those before this), got married again, had another baby, and now have a teenager and a toddler under the same roof, while parenting my parent.
And then…dun dun dunnnnn…I changed my entire career, too.
I decided to live the life I wanted and I want to give you the same.
The career…
For fifteen years, I built a career in corporate tech — I’ve done everything from run global tech departments to sitting on leadership teams in enterprise and private equity companies. I spent those 15 years building other people’s businesses and running the rat race. Then…I left.
Something was missing.
There was this emptiness I felt. I had had golden handcuffs and a growing sense that I was spending my most valuable years not doing what I wanted to do.
What I actually wanted — what I had always wanted — was to help people.
So…Why coaching? Why therapy?
Quitting corporate America was the first time in my life I didn't have a job. That silence was clarifying.
I realized my purpose had always been to help people. My leadership style was as a servant leader. I spent years mentoring young women and serving as a Big Sister in Big Brothers Big Sisters. And I’m always the person friends and strangers somehow always ended up talking to. I just needed that time to sit with myself and decide to do something about it.
I knew in my heart I was supposed to be a therapist — it’s my ikigai. I also realized, not everyone is looking for therapy…sometimes they just need some support. And thus, The Mom Manager was born.
At some point, once I’m fully licensed, I’ll also add therapy to our services, but until then, I’m here to help who I can with just some good ol’ coaching and support.

Who I am beyond the credentials
In my past life (my old career), I was a people leader. I solved problems and created systems through empathy and understanding people’s whys; its at the core of what I do and who I am.
I am a family girl. I love music and a good festival. I am a foodie who knows the real way to a woman’s heart is her stomach.
And I genuinely love people.
I like to see people smile. I like to help people find peace. I have spent my whole life doing both — and now I get to do it on purpose.
When you work with me, you get someone who has done the hard things and still chose joy. That is the energy I bring to every session.
